Who is this guy?

Marshall King is a journalist, writer and eater who makes his home in Goshen, Indiana.

He’s worked in the South Bend-Elkhart community since graduating from Eastern Mennonite University in 1992. He was a reporter first at the Goshen News and spent more than 20 years as a reporter, columnist and editor at The Elkhart Truth.

In May 2016, after the sale of the Truth, he became a freelance writer and journalist for a variety of outlets. Since 2019, he has been director of communications for the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.

He also helps businesses and nonprofits with public relations.

He wrote a weekly newspaper column called Dining A La King for nearly 20 years and continues to write on Substack. He's often referred to as the "Food Guy."

He enjoys great stories, funky food, disc golf, good design and athletic feats (though the latter are best done by others).
